Veterans Affairs Department — The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend regulations under the Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program to ensure veterans' requests to forgo, suspend, reduce, or terminate their benefits and services may be processed timely and without unnecessary delays. The current regulation requires VR&E to provide at least 30 days advance notice and opportunity for response before taking such actions, even in cases where VR&E is acting on a veteran's request. Open for Comment: Louisiana: Approval of State Coal Combustion Residuals Permit Program

Environmental Protection Agency — The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or the Agency) is proposing to approve the Louisiana Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) partial permit program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). After reviewing the CCR permit program application submitted by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), EPA has preliminarily determined that Louisiana's CCR permit program meets the standard for partial approval under RCRA. Open for Comment: Significant New Use Rules on Certain Chemical Substances (25-3.5e)

Environmental Protection Agency — EPA is proposing significant new use rules (SNURs) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for certain chemical substances that were the subject of premanufacture notices (PMNs) and are also subject to an Order issued by EPA pursuant to TSCA. The SNURs require persons who intend to manufacture (defined by statute to include import) or process any of these chemical substances for an activity that is proposed as a significant new use by this rulemaking to notify EPA at least 90 days before commencing that activity. The required notification initiates EPA's evaluation of the conditions of that use for that chemical substance. In addition, the manufacture or processing for the significant new use may not commence until EPA has conducted a review of the required notification, made an appropriate determination regarding that notification, and taken such actions as required by that determination. Open for Comment: Airworthiness Directives; Gulfstream Aerospace LP (Type Certificate Previously Held by Israel Aircraft Industries, Ltd.) Airplanes

Transportation Department — The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Gulfstream Aerospace LP Model Gulfstream 200 and Galaxy airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a determination that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This proposed AD would require revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. (45 days remaining)
