Day 8: Today is my birthday and the first time I am not spending it with my family. I am not big on birthdays but I do appreciate them because my family lets me decide what we will do for the day. I love this time of year because I get to do two of my favorite activities. They are paddleboarding if it’s warm or hiking if it’s cooler. Today, however, I ended up going to lunch with my Mom and sister. It was very lovely to spend time with them. I did miss my family though. I picked the kids up at the bus stop and got to hear about their day. It’s different but there still is the weekend. Side Note: We did end up going on a hike that weekend to see Kokanee Salmon spawning in a river by a reservoir. It’s been on my bucket list for a while and my cup is full.
