Gratefulness and Balance š©·
Howdy frens, š¤
š Is it just me, or does time start getting a little strange around the autumn equinox? I swear, I keep thinking tomorrow is Sunday (and also the equinox), even though deep down I know itās Saturday. Itās funny how sometimes the head can be in two places at once. Has that ever happened to you? š
Lately, Iāve been feeling extra grateful for the chance to create in so many ways: whether Iām researching and writing new blog entries, or painting and illustrating or baking something yummy or whatever pops up in my mind. I try not to take it for granted. Creativity is truly a blessing, and Iām deeply thankful for that.
š Maybe itās the change in season, but Iām reminded how important it is to celebrate what we accomplish, big or small, and make gratitude a habit, not just a seasonal mood. With the equinox just a few days away, itās also a perfect prompt to balance taking stock of what weāve built, making space for rest, and reflecting on whatās behind us and whatās ahead.
Gratitude and balance really do go hand in hand right now. So, what are you proud of this year? What are you looking forward to, even a little? (Comparing ourselves to others never helps; remember, comparison is the thief of joy.)
š”The important thing is to notice how gentle weāre being with ourselves and those around us.
Everything comes in cycles, and if this season teaches us anything, itās that nothing is set in stone. We can learn, pivot, be thankful, move forward, or sometimes just pause to rest. Sometimes, life doesnāt seem fair, but if weāre here today, that means weāve made it through challenges. Why not take what weāve learned, and do a little better this time?
Iām grateful to be here typing these words, and I hope youāll pause today to notice even just one little thing you appreciate, too. You never know where a habit of gratitude can take you.
Hope youāre doing well, and sending you a virtual hug š«
See you later, alligator š
