Meta Reimagines Creator Studio as an AI Companion App for Facebook
Meta Reimagines Creator Studio as an AI Companion App for Facebook Meta is reviving a familiar tool for Facebook creators, but this time it is built around generative AI, raising new expectations about how creators manage content and audiences.
In 2023, Meta shut down the original Facebook Creator Studio and pushed page managers toward its broader Business Suite for scheduling and analytics. That shift folded creator workflows into a more complex business-focused environment, which some creators saw as less tailored to their needs.
On June 24, 2026, Facebook announced it was “reimagining its Creator Studio tool as a stand-alone AI companion app designed to help creators grow their audiences on the social network.” The move is part of Meta’s wider push to keep creators engaged on Facebook as it competes with TikTok and YouTube, and to reduce creators’ reliance on third-party tools like ChatGPT for brainstorming and analytics.
By June 25, more details emerged about the revamped product. Meta is “bringing back the Facebook Creator Studio page manager, now ‘reimagined’ as a standalone AI companion app” focused on showing creators “exactly how to grow on Facebook.” The central feature is Meta’s AI Creator Assistant, which can provide performance insights, tailored recommendations, and identify “the most important comments” while “instantly draft[ing] replies in your voice.”
From creators’ perspective, the app promises to simplify analytics: instead of sifting through dashboards, they can ask conversational questions like “When should I post?” or “What are people saying in my comments?” and get quick answers, plus follow-ups on how their audience is changing over time. A daily “priorities” feed will highlight performance, progress toward goals, and comments needing responses.
For now, Meta is testing the AI companion with “select creators,” with a waitlist open for early access and no firm timeline for wider rollout. The company is positioning the app as a focused, creator-first alternative to Business Suite, while questions remain about how heavily creators will lean on AI-generated replies and recommendations as the tool expands.
