Cipher: Hexadecimal (ASCII) expresses each character as a base-16 number. Group digits in pairs, convert from hex to decimal, then map to ASCII text.
History: Hexadecimal notation (base 16) became a staple of debugging and reverse engineering because it compresses binary into readable form.
