Comité contra Tortura de la ONU considera que el bloqueo de Gaza fue un “maltrato en masa” A UN committee investigating crimes has stated that Israel’s months-long deprivation of food and aid in Gaza, along with bombings, constitute ‘mass mistreatment’ and may be considered torture. The committee also denounced ‘collective punishment’ and frequent degrading treatment and physical violence at Israeli security checkpoints. The report indicated that Israel implements an ‘organized and widespread policy’ of torture and mistreatment of detainees, intensified after the October 7, 2023 attacks.
