Tree roots send messages not only by chemical means but electrical as well. Very much like a neuron in mammals.

Question: As bacteria move through the fungal network and are bathed in the various signaling chemistries to they somehow also become a signaling device? Does the electrical gradient in roots also transmit via fungi and do the bacteria pick up a “informational charge” in the roots and hyphae?
