President Aleksandar Vučić visited the Municipality of Bajina Bašta today, where he was hosted by the Knežević family – a family whose daily life carries both great struggle and great hope. Their youngest son, Andrija, is fighting a difficult battle with a rare disease, Moyamoya disease (MMD), but thanks to treatment at the state's expense, his fight today has a brighter side, one in which faith, support, and perseverance turn into hope for recovery.

Vučić expressed his deep emotion upon learning of the boy’s bravery and promised him a special chess set. The President emphasized that the state is covering all of Andrija’s current and future treatment, including seeking specialized care abroad due to limitations in Serbia, and highlighted significant state investment in healthcare and treatments for rare diseases.
