PREVENTING ZERAVIA POLLUTION: Implementation of an important project in Tršić with state support (PHOTO)
The implementation of the project 'Construction of waterproof septic tanks to prevent pollution of the Žeravija river in the protected area of the Cultural Landscape Tršić-Tronoša' began in early March in Tršić, it was announced by the Loznica Center for Culture 'Vuk Karadžić'.
PREVENTING ZERAVIA POLLUTION: Implementation of an important project in Tršić with state support (PHOTO) A project to construct waterproof septic tanks in Tršić has started, aimed at preventing pollution of the Žeravija river within the protected Cultural Landscape Tršić-Tronoša. This initiative, funded by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the city of Loznica, will improve sanitary infrastructure, protect local flora and fauna, and enhance the experience for visitors to Vuk Karadžić’s birthplace.
- Project “Construction of waterproof septic tanks to prevent pollution of the Žeravija river in the protected area of the Cultural Landscape Tršić-Tronoša” has begun in Tršić.
- The project aims to prevent wastewater discharge into the Žeravija river, protecting the local ecosystem and the cultural landscape.
- Funding is provided by the Ministry of Environmental Protection (3.3 million dinars) and the city of Loznica (remaining amount).
- The total project value is approximately 4.2 million dinars.
- The investment will improve sanitary infrastructure and hygiene conditions for residents and visitors.
- Once completed, the terrain will be restored to its original state, and the septic tanks will be unnoticeable.
