Ottawa to Extend Steel Tariff Quotas, Remission Program for 1 Year Canada’s federal government will extend measures supporting the domestic steel and aluminum industry for another year. A remission program, refunding tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminum, will continue until June 2027.
