as most of you know I changed my funding goal for the CACSO Games Qualifiers I had previously posted here into an All-or-Nothing Campaign.

Sadly, that campaign did not get fully funded. That put me in a tough spot, because I really wanted to go, but for some reason I did not make the team, and I had no way of coming up with the funds to go myself.

This got me thinking, should I just let this pass and wait for other opportunities or will I find some way to make it happen…

I did the latter, I borrowed some money to cover the travel cost from someone that was willing to lend. I used last months salary to pay back 40% already, and will do that with next months salary as well, untill I cover the amount I borrowed. So I will have to rely on my parents to help me out during the month.

This is me taking a bet on myself, not in a way that gives me monetary gain, but one for self confidence.

If anything I would like this story to motivate you to do the same. Go for that one thing that you believe in, no matter the obstacles you have to face.
